Want to know the business checklist for entrepreneurs? This list is relevant for new and existing businesses.

Below is a comprehensive list. I would also consider the minimum items needed.  I believe in creating a solid foundation, then perfecting and adding to that afterwards.

Business Checklist:

  • Legal name and setup – in most cases a sole proprietorship will not work when other organizations, associations, and companies are your customers because of the insurance or vendor criteria they require; please check with your accountant for final advice
  • WordPress blog , affiliate link (yourdomain.com)
  • Branded email (yourname@yourdomain.com)
  • A calendar and drive
  • Mailing address (for auto-responder and legal/corporate filing)
  • Telephone number
  • Auto-responder including optin forms and landing pages to attract and nuture leads
  • Money In – invoicing, credit card acceptance online and offline, bank wires; bank account

  • Client on-boarding, expectations, and welcome documents

  • Project management method or tools – sometimes Excel works, we need sometimes more robust systems depending upon the business
  • Social media for your company or organization. You can also grab the name, even if you may not use that platform. That allows you to reserve your name so no one else can take it.

Many of the items above are more operations related.  Here are the Strategies to also have in place:
